Stefan joined Societe Generale in 2009 as Head of M&A in charge of the Financial Institutions Group. Prior to joining SG, Stefan spent his career working with financial institutions in various capacities at Credit Suisse, where he was last in charge of the European M&A business for banking and insurance clients. Previously he had served as Global Head of Strategy and M&A, and originally started his investment banking career as a member of the financial institutions practice, advising clients on corporate finance, M&A and capital raisings. He holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University and a PhD in International Law from the University of Basle. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program of Harvard Business School.

Head of Corporate Finance

Sylvain Mégarbané is Global Head of Corporate Finance as of March 1st 2015. Previously he was Head of Corporate Finance for Power & Utilities sector since 2010. Before joining Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking, he was an Executive Director in the European Power & Utilities team of JP Morgan that he joined in 1998.

Sylvain Mégarbané graduated from Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE (Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique) and holds a Diploma from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris.
