10/12/2020

This year again, Societe Generale’s expertise and quality of Cash Management products and services have been recognised by our clients in a global survey conducted by the magazine Euromoney.

The Cash Management Survey is a yearly client poll conducted by the British magazine Euromoney among corporates and financial institutions. Cash managers, treasurers and financial officers worldwide are asked to choose their leading providers of cash management products and services in the “Market Leader” category.
This year, Euromoney collected about 33,000 non-financial institution responses, up from 25,000 responses last year.

Societe Generale maintains its strong position in France. Global Transaction Banking's Cash Management activities have been ranked 2nd in France this year, confirming a firm and long-standing position as one of the top 2 leading providers in the country.

A significantly higher position was achieved this year in Western Europe. Societe Generale is positioned in 8th place, regaining its place among the top 10 Cash Management service providers.

The bank maintains its first place as “Market Leader” in Cameroon, Guinea and Morocco and regains the 1st place in Algeria, after winning 2nd place in 2019 and 2018. Overall Societe Generale ranks 3rd in the Africa & Middle East Region.

A strong Central and Eastern Europe ranking is also maintained for the bank, winning 3rd position again this year. Czech Republic and Romania subsidiaries’ outstanding performance continues. Komerční Banka is awarded 1st Cash Management provider for the 2nd year and BRD wins 2nd place again. Rosbank is awarded the 3rd place for the Russian market.

In addition, Societe Generale has been rewarded in the Euromoney “Best Service” category. This award recognises providers’ delivery of customer services.

In 2020, Societe Generale achieves a number 1 position in France, after being ranked 3rd last year.

"This shows an excellent progression that rewards the commitment of all the teams involved in the Cash Management value chain”, says Aurélien Viry, Head of Payments and Cash Management, Transaction Banking for Societe Generale.

Finally, the bank maintains its leadership position as best service provider in Cameroon and Guinea for the second consecutive year.

Aurélien Viry concludes

“These very positive results for Societe Generale, that were obtained in the difficult health and economic context of the second quarter of 2020, allow us once again to show the market and our clients that we are a leading player in Cash Management. We express our warmest thanks to our clients for choosing us as their trusted partners and to all our teams for their commitment and great effort to guarantee the best service.”
