Loh Boon Chye

Appointed to the post of CEO at Singapore Exchange. Previously deputy president for Asia Pacific and head of Asia Pacific Global Markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML). Additionally, acted as country executive for Singapore and South East Asia and a member of BAML’s Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

Before joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch in December 2012, spent 17 years with Deutsche Bank in Asia, most recently heading the Corporate and Investment Banking division for the Asia Pacific region. 

Began career in finance as an Investment Officer with the Monetary Authority of Singapore in 1989. In 1992, joined the Singapore branch of Morgan Guaranty Trust Co of New York, managing its South East Asia fixed income and derivatives business.

More than 25 years of experience in the industry, involved in the development of the capital markets in South East Asia. Held a number of senior advisory positions. Deputy President of ACI Singapore in 1999, and non-independent director of the Singapore Exchange from 2004 to 2012. 

Council Member at the Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore and until recently, chaired the Singapore Foreign Exchange Market Committee.
