Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking further strengthens its coverage dedicated to the corporate clients in France

Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking is pleased to announce the appointment of Co-Heads of Coverage and Investment Banking for France, a newly created position, as well as the appointment of two Senior Bankers in France and a Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets for France, Belgium and Luxembourg.

Jacques Bitton and Jean-Baptiste Giros have been appointed Co-Heads of Coverage and Investment Banking for France. These appointments are effective immediately. Based in Paris, they report to Thierry d’Argent, Head of Coverage and Investment Banking.

In this newly created role, Jacques Bitton is solely responsible for managing the Senior Bankers’ team which maintains the relationship and the strategic dialogue with their clients. Jean-Baptiste Giros maintains the supervision, in coordination with Jacques Bitton, of the French coverage teams, a role he has held since end of 2017. These teams remain in charge of the day-to-day client relationship, whilst supporting the Senior Bankers.

Jacques Bitton and Jean-Baptiste Giros are also in charge of supervising French Corporate Finance teams, in coordination with the global heads of these activities.

Their role is to continue to strengthen relationships with the French corporate clients and to help drive the coordination and development of synergies across all the bank’s areas of expertise.

Laurent Meyer and Guilhem Tosi are named Senior Bankers in charge of the global relationship for large French corporates since 11 June 2018. Based in Paris, they report to Jacques Bitton.

Stéphanie Arnaud is appointed Co-Head of Equity Capital Markets (ECM) for France, Belgium and Luxembourg, alongside Alexis Le Touzé who has co-led the department since June 2015. Her appointment is effective from 2 March 2018.

Based in Paris, Stéphanie reports to Sylvain Mégarbané, Global Head of Corporate Finance and Luis Vaz Pinto, Deputy Global Head of Corporate Finance and Global Head of Equity Capital Markets.
