Hispasat wants to improve the environmental impact of satellite communications
Hispasat, Redeia’s (previously Red Eléctrica España) Spanish satellite communications operator leader in the distribution of content in Spanish and Portuguese, is committed to assessing the environmental impacts of its activities as well as implementing actions to reduce them; improving the energy efficiency of its facilities and optimizing waste management.
To do so, it has renewed and extended a credit line incorporating sustainability criteria for the first time.
This transaction represents a milestone in Hispasat´s Strategic Sustainability Plan and allows the terms and conditions of the financing to be adapted to ESG criteria and indicators aligned with Redeia’s Group policies in this field.

The new multi-currency revolving credit line has renewed by extending the maturity and has increased the size to €250 million.
