Societe Generale Cross Asset Research appoints Guy Stear as Head of Emerging Markets Strategy

Societe Generale Cross Asset Research announces the appointment of Guy Stear as Head of Emerging Markets Strategy effective immediately.

He replaces Benoit Anne who has decided to pursue other opportunities outside the bank. Based in Paris, Guy will actively work on the development of emerging markets research across the European, Asian and Latin American markets. In this role, he reports to Patrick Legland, Global Head of Research.

Guy will maintain his current responsibilities as Global Head of Credit Strategy within the Cross Asset Research department.

 

Biography

Guy Stear was previously Head of Asia Research in Hong Kong from 2010 to 2014. He joined Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking in 2002 as a credit strategist and became head of the Credit Research Team in 2008. Prior to joining the bank, Guy worked for more than a decade in the equity, government bond and forex markets in both research and sales.  He is a CFA charterholder and holds an MBA from Insead as well as a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University
