IJGlobal Awards 2022: Societe Generale has been awarded several Global Awards plus Deals of the Year!
Societe Generale has been awarded by IJGlobal, one of the most respected publications dedicated to the project and infrastructure finance space, the following honors:
These awards are determined – based on submissions from across the industry – by an independent panel of industry experts and banking peers resulting in recognition both regionally and globally. As IJGlobal said in announcing these decisions:
The "Europe & Africa MLA of the Year" award was the result of executing “transactions in a very wide variety of infrastructure sectors. Each of the three case studies has a ‘ground breaking’ element to the transaction, whether in terms of scale of ambition in assets with large market risk – Open Fiber and Allego – or energy efficiency focus in the Cegelog housing renovation concession”. Furthermore “Societe Generale’s involvement in the Cameroon Toll Plaza financing…was ground breaking for the country...”
For the “APAC MLA of the Year”, we stood “out for having a fairly good spread of deals spread across very different types of assets.” as per one judge and “kept the momentum going across Asia Pacific, including Japan, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Thailand” such as for our involvement in the Ishikari offshore wind & battery project in Japan and the ReNew Round-the-Clock hybrid renewables and battery storage project.
We were recognized as “Financial Adviser of the Year” for both Europe & Africa and North America thanks to the “variety of types of asset and the focus on energy transmission” in Europe notably with the NeuConnect and Greenlink interconnectors transactions and “innovative work on landmark transactions in 2022” covering Champlain Hudson, Corpus Christi LNG and Golden Triangle Polymers. |  |
