Societe Generale Turkey won three international awards

The 'Bonds & Loans Awards Turkey 2020', one of the most respected awards in the capital markets and finance sector, have found their owners. There was a shortlist of 58 deals for the final stage out of 198 deals that were nominated, vying for 18 Awards.

• Societe Generale Turkey was a bookrunner in on the Eurobond of Türk Telekomümikasyon A.Ş that was awarded the “Corporate Bond Deal of the Year”. 

• The bank won the "Structured Loan Deal of the Year" award with the aircraft financing for Pegasus Airlines, where it was the sole lender. 

• Societe Generale also ranked in the third place for the “Transport Finance Deal of the Year” award for Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality’s Umraniye-Atasehir-Goztepe metro line construction as B lender in EBRD loan structure.

While Bonds & Loans Awards recognize the most innovative and ground-breaking deals taking place in Turkish credit markets in a given year; “high quality execution”, “accessing new pools of liquidity”, “innovative structuring”, and “opening-up new markets” are also characterized as key criteria in the selection process.
