Frédéric Oudea
Chief Executive Officer
Societe Generale
I’ve been part of Societe Generale for 22 years now, working in a number of different roles at the corporate and investment bank and the Finance department , before joining the General Management in 2008. Additionally, I also hold positions elsewhere, notably at the European Banking Federation, where I have been President since 2015. I’m also President of the Societe Generale Corporate Foundation for Solidarity, which has been supporting professional integration and social inclusion for over 10 years. Outside of work, I enjoy art, music and sport (rugby, of course, as well as tennis and football). I believe it’s important to spend time on activities that have a positive impact on my work-life balance and my family life.
I’m very proud of the banking profession that I have been part of all these years – banking is an essential and stimulating profession, serving our clients and the economy. At Societe Generale, our values of team spirit, innovation, responsibility and commitment guide the way we work on a daily basis, both with our clients and our colleagues. I have a fundamental belief in the future of our profession, and enjoy sharing it, particularly with young people, to inspire them when building their future and giving them the desire to join us. Furthermore, banking – like all other sectors of the economy – is undergoing a profound digital transformation. The switch to the era of digital agility is a huge, but exciting challenge. Let’s invent together the bank and the company of tomorrow!
