The award, judged by the editors of GlobalCapital along with market participants, acknowledges the bank’s overall performance, its role in leading innovative and important transactions, and the progress it has made in that particular space during the year.
With ESG factors becoming increasingly important to investors in equity transactions, this award is a recognition of Societe Generale's strong ECM franchise and the bank's historical role when it comes to Sustainable Finance. Societe Generale has delivered many of 2020's landmark transactions, including acting as joint global coordinator and green structuring bank on the €170m deal issued by Neoen and joint bookrunner on the €650m deal issued by Schneider Electric.
